Welcome to the website of Swan Lake - the first Russian Restaurant in Wales. Proprietors, Gordon and Irena Peacock, invite you to come and experience a wide range of authentic Russian cuisine, wines and vodkas. All served on traditional, hand-crafted "khokhloma" tableware, which is a first, not just for Wales, but the entire UK. Looking out over the historic St Woolos Cathedral, in the centre of Newport, Swan Lake is one of the most essential dining experiences in Wales. The variety and quality of food has already been described by customers as "pleasantly surprising", "very warming" and "extremely satisfying". From the luxurious "Krasnoy Ikroy" (Russian Red Caviar) starter, to the hearty, original-recipe Beef Stroganoff and "Baklashany Po Peterbyrgski" (suitable for vegetarians) and finishing with "Bliny" (traditional Russian Pancakes), we promise an exquisite and exotic dining experience from starter to finish. All this can be accompanied by "Pirosmani", our sumptuous red house wine, "Tvishi", the aromatic, fruity white wine or "Jemchujina Kryma" (Russian Champagne).
